The annual awards for the UK publishing industry are open for entries, introducing THREE new categories.
The Professional Publishers Association (PPA) has launched The PPA Awards 2021, celebrating the very best in magazine media and business information publishing over the past 12 months.
Three new categories have been introduced to this year’s PPA Awards:
1) PPA Best Response to COVID-19 Award
2) PPA Children’s Magazine of the Year
3) PPA Subscriptions Strategy of the Year
These will join thelist of 23 categories, which include Editor of the Year, Media Brand of the Year, Podcast of the Year and Front Cover of the Year (which will be open to a public vote).
The PPA plans to hold the Awards in person at their long-standing home, Grosvenor House Hotel, Park Lane on June 30th 2021; which organisers said they hope will serve as a welcome reunion for the industry as we return to in-person events. However, plans are in place to hold a virtual celebration, should COVID restrictions remain in place.
Entries are now open and must be submitted before the March 1 deadline.
Launching the Awards, PPA CEO Owen Meredith said: “These Awards recognise the hard work, dedication and ingenuity across the publishing industry, which has been so evidentially on show through the challenges of the past year.
“Whether through words on the page, on screen, through powerful database and business intelligence products, or live events – publishers continue to innovate to deliver trusted content for their communities, at home and work.
“These Awards recognise the very best across our industry and I am looking forward to receiving your entries and celebrating your creativity together.”
Full criteria and entry prices can be found on the PPA Awards website.
