PPA Independent Publisher Award winners announced

The PPA’s annual Independent Publishing Awards, which took place in London on Friday 22 November, celebrated the businesses, teams and individuals who delivered outstanding work across the thriving independent publishing sector this year.

There was a shortlist from every sector of the industry, all showcasing innovation, creativity, and the exceptional talent that makes up the independent publishing sector.

The winners, which go through a rigorous two-step judging process, were selected by a highly respected panel of judges. The line-up included world-class writers, editors and marketers, commercial heavyweights, and exceptional events and digital professionals.

Sajeeda Merali, CEO, PPA commented: “It’s been an excellent year for the independent publishing sector, and this was reflected in the innovation, talent, and creativity presented in entries across both business and consumer sectors. Congratulations to everyone who was shortlisted, the winners, and thanks to those that attended the ceremony to support the nominees.”

This year’s awards also featured new and updated categories including ‘Commercial Leader of the Year’, won by Matt Roclawski of TTG Media, and ‘Subscriptions & Memberships Strategy of the Year’, awarded to Propolis, B2B Marketing.

In front of over 300 key decision makers from across the independent publisher network, the London ceremony was hosted by comedian and writer Suzi Ruffell.
