The News Media Association's campaign is uniting to issue a unified message to Government about the vital role journalism plays in our society, and the increased importance of this during the coronavirus pandemic.
The annual week long campaign starting on the November 1 will see local, regional and national news media titles come together to celebrate the ways in which journalism makes a difference. This year the campaign will particularly focus on the theme of the importance of trusted journalism whilst also looking at key topics such as climate change and the alarming rising in the abuse and intimidation of journalists.
The campaign will include The Making a Difference public vote for the best local and national news media campaigns with winners being announced on the 5th November.
The campaign was very well received last year, obtaining backing from HM the Queen and the Prime Minster, Boris Johnson.
