As an organisation MEFA’s mission is to help Black, Asian and ethnic minority talent thrive, and increase diversity in the media and advertising industry. Through their work, events and forums, MEFA focuses on the recruitment of diverse talent, the retention of diverse talent, and the career development of its members.
On the partnership, Sajeeda Merali, PPA CEO said “At the PPA we are focused on putting People, Products and Audience at the heart of everything we do with, and on behalf of our members. Ensuring underrepresented groups have access to developmental opportunities is key to progress in our sector. We are linking up with a number of groups doing good work in this area, and MEFA offers excellent opportunities for our members. I wish this had been around at the start of my career.”
Naren Patel, founder, MEFA commented: “We are really excited to be working with Sajeeda and the PPA. We hope to use the partnership to raise the profile of Media for All within the publishing sector and help people of colour thrive.”
