The PPA Festival, conferences, and member-only seminars

The PPA Festival, Independent Publisher Conference and Awards, and our free-to-attend briefings and seminars bring 2,500+ publishing professionals together each year. They provide an opportunity to connect and share the incredible knowledge that exists within the PPA.

The PPA Festival – The UK’s biggest annual gathering of publishing professionals. Featuring 80+ expert speakers across four stages, plus an exhibition, roundtables, and unrivalled networking, it brings together 550 senior professionals from 100+ businesses in the specialist media sector.
The PPA Independent Publisher Conference & Awards – Brings together 150+ leaders of the UK’s independent publishing community. The morning is packed with compelling content, while the afternoon lunch and awards event sees 300+ professionals come together to celebrate the businesses, teams, and individuals making a difference in their sector.
Member-only seminars – We provide free-to-attend briefings and seminars on a diverse range of subjects throughout the year. ED&I, audience and subscription growth, AI and tech opportunities, working with different platforms, and commercial partnerships are just some of the topics we’ve explored.

Awards and recognising excellence

The PPA Awards champion exceptional businesses and professional excellence from every corner of the specialist media sector. Featuring 27 categories, it recognises and celebrates the innovation and outstanding work from editors, writers, marketers, designers, and every job function in between.

We also come together and celebrate the work of independent publishers at the Independent Publisher Conference & Awards, rising talent at The PPA Next Gen Awards, and outstanding advertising partnerships at Magnetic’s Spotlight Awards.
