Dominic Murray Appointed Radio Times Managing Director

Immediate Media has announced Dominic Murray as the Managing Director of Radio Times, the UK's best-selling quality magazine, replacing Kathy Day, who is retiring after 18 years in the role.

Murray has 25 yearsโ€™ experience in consumer media and publishing, across a range of market sectors, products and platforms, including the development and launch of Lonely Planet Magazine, GardenersWorld.com and The Secret Garden, Gardenersโ€™ World digital subscription platform. He has been publisher of BBC Gardenersโ€™ World Magazine since 2003 and MD for Immediateโ€™s Gardening and Parenting portfolio since January 2019.

Murray also joins the Immediate Leadership Team, reporting to Immediate CEO Tom Bureau, who said: โ€œRadio Times is the UKโ€™s biggest magazine brand and having worked with Dom since we formed Immediate in 2011, I am confident, with his impressive track record, that he will drive growth and innovation as we look to open up new opportunities and continue to attract new audiences to the brand.

I would also like to thank Kathy Day, her work on Radio Times has been a huge part of Immediateโ€™s success over the last nine years. Sheโ€™s had an incredible career and as a trusted colleague and friend, we will miss her from the Leadership Team and the business.โ€

Commenting on his new role, Dominic Murray, said: โ€œIโ€™m honoured to be appointed as the new MD of Radio Times, and excited about the opportunities ahead. Iโ€™m looking forward to working with the team to continue their remarkable record of success.โ€

Murray will take up the role at the start of October 2020.
