Real Response Media Acquires assets of Air Transport Publications

Real Response Media Limited (RRM) has today acquired the assets of Air Transport Publications Limited (ATP).

This includes four quarterly magazines (MRO Management, Aircraft Cabin Management, Airline Cargo Management and Low Cost & Regional Airline Business), MRO News Focus (a monthly e-newsletter) and two directories for an undisclosed sum, in a deal brokered by PPA Associate member MediaFund. All current staff of Air Transport Publications will transfer to Real Response Media.

Founded in 1996 with the Aircraft Maintenance & Engineering Directory, Air Transport Publications has grown from a base of specialist yearbooks to bring authoritative and independent coverage to the aviation market through popular print magazines, conferences, directories and newsletters. Since 2006 the titles have been owned by professional publisher Samedan Ltd.

Samedan Ltd CEO and founder, Gulia Selby said: “I am sure that RRM will be the perfect place to offer the next step for the brands that we have fostered, and that with the support of the new owners, the publications and events will be able to continue to inform the aviation sector in these critical times.”

Commenting on the news, Chris Pitchford, CEO, RRM, said: “We see the acquisition of these titles as a perfect fit with Real Response Media. We will be investing in both the circulation and content over the coming months and we see all the titles we have acquired as playing an important role going forward. This is a very exciting time for us, and we are delighted to welcome the staff coming across from ATP to the RRM team. Growth at RRM has been substantial over the past five years and we are confident that this acquisition will only enhance the company’s future potential.”
