The Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act (DMCCA) introduces significant changes to the legal framework governing subscription contracts.
As implementation begins, this session explained what the new requirements mean for publishers, outlined the latest developments, and helped publishers prepare for the changes, which will now take effect in January 2027.
The Department for Business and Trade provided an update on the implementation of the new rules, and a legal expert from Lewis Silkin explored how the legislation will work in practice, highlighting key compliance issues and working through practical case studies to illustrate what the changes mean for publishers in real-world scenarios.
