Time Out launches podcast series

Time Out London editor Joe Mackertich invites famous Londoners to show him around their favourite parts of the city whilst sharing anecdotes.

The series, Love Thy Neighbourhood, will feature 12 weekly episodes from 1 August and opens with drag icon Bimini in Bankside, followed by other well-known talents such as actor, comedian, and rapper Doc Brown for a stroll through Kilburn, and comedian Chloe Petts sharing tales about Streatham.

Rob Biagioni, Managing Director, Time Out London said: “This will be a fresh and fun source of inspiration for all those who want to make the most of London and get under the skin of the city’s neighbourhoods – in true Time Out style, this will be entertaining and useful thanks to intimate chats with the interviewees.

“As we explore new digital channels to connect with and expand our audience, we are proud to launch our first podcast series together with FREENOW. They are a perfect partner for this project as the mobility app gets you everywhere you need to go in London and beyond, including the fascinating neighbourhoods at the heart of our podcast which we encourage everyone to explore.”

Time Out has collaborated with FREENOW to create a bespoke multi-platform campaign spanning social, digital features, and CRM.

Each podcast episode will wrap up in the guests’ favourite neighbourhood pub which will be used as a backdrop for a social video series across Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook featuring the interviewees sharing their favourite things to do in the capital.

Michele de Maat, Head of Marketing, FREENOW UK commented: “Time Out’s commitment to communities directly aligns with our brand DNA. After several successful projects, we are excited to be working with them once again, tapping into the team’s local expertise, creativity, and connections in the city, which is at the heart of this podcast series, and the bespoke campaign around it was created with Time Out’s experience hungry audience in mind.”

New episodes will be released every Tuesday, you can subscribe and listen to it here.
