The New European, the issue-based weekly newspaper has launched their website on the Pugpig site.

The paper was founded in 2016 by journalist Matt Kelly in response to the EU Referendum.

An associate member of the PPA, Pugpig is a publishing platform that works with publishers to conceive, design and run websites and digital editions of media products.

The New European and Pugpig have been working to create new digital products for the newspaper since March 2021. The owner and founder of The New European, Matt Kelly wanted to migrate from their previous platform and deliver a better digital experience for their readers.

Every archive edition of the paper is featured on the new website via the Pugpig PDF importer and web reader, meaning readers can enjoy previous issues long after they have been published.
