Public Affairs
After last week’s surprise announcement of a trade deal between the UK and the US, the PPA’s Head of Policy and Public Affairs, Eilidh Wilson, dives into the potential implications for the publishing sector.
The deal contains a commitment to negotiate a separate “digital trade deal” as well as “high-standard commitments related to intellectual property rights protection and enforcement”.
Eilidh explores the potential impact of this on the policy areas most important to publishers, including copyright and AI, digital competition, and online safety.
If you have any questions or would like to discuss the implications in more detail, please get in contact eilidh.wilson@ppa.co.uk
