The PPA’s Next Gen Awards exist to champion 30 of the most exciting rising stars in the UK publishing and specialist media sector.
From video creators, dynamic data analysts, engaging writers, event and marketing stars, and commercial wizards – this year’s winners showcase the diverse skills shaping the future of our industry.
Sajeeda Merali, PPA, CEO said: “The PPA Next Gen Awards are vital for ensuring the future of our sector. With so much promising and diverse talent emerging in our sector, across both consumer and business media, it’s essential to recognise and celebrate these individuals. The winners of this year’s PPA Next Gen Awards are the leaders who will shape our industry in the coming years.”

The winners will be celebrated at an exclusive Awards event on Thursday 12 October at the Mondrian Shoreditch, where their achievements will be recognised, and they can network with other winners and industry leaders.
A panel of 25 experts from across the industry – including members of the current PPA Next Gen Board, review the entries to decide the winners. You can see who was on the judging panel here.
Each year, in tandem with the PPA Next Gen Awards, the PPA recognises a student of the year – celebrating the future creators of our industry, who have showcased exceptional work during their studies, and display promise to be the talent of tomorrow.
This year the judges awarded two winners. Harry Robinson, BA Journalism Studies, University of Sheffield and Ceci Browning, MA Magazine Journalism, City, University of London.
