Amanda Barnes, Vice Chair of the PPA and CEO of Faversham House, spoke about the negative financial impact of unregulated AI infringement practices.
Davies also spoke with the Editor-in-Chief of Utility Week, one of Faversham House’s B2B titles, who demonstrated the high-investment, high-value content the title produces, such as sustainability reports and proprietary data.
The visit forms part of the PPA’s ongoing engagement with political stakeholders on the need for stronger AI regulation.
The PPA has consistently argued that greater transparency from AI developers, particularly around the data and content used to train models, is essential.
B2B publishers, whose specialist content is a frequent target for scraping and unlicensed use in AI training, have a stake in securing meaningful transparency obligations.
The PPA will continue to update members as engagement with government on this issue develops.
