Future plc has announced the launch of a Canadian division as part of its focus on expansion across the Atlantic.
Based in Toronto, Future Canada will add more local content and products to the publisher's current offering across 160 titles.
Future said the move was designed to capitalise on an existing audience of more than 11 million unique monthly users in the territory.
“We’ve seen an explosion in our traffic across all of our sites, particularly in Canada,” said Jason Webby, Future’s Chief Revenue Officer in North America.
“A Canadian location allows Future to create more locally-focused content to grow their audience, while strengthening relationships with advertisers and ad agencies.
“Future will also leverage site buyer guides using its proprietary ecommerce platform, HAWK, to help Canadian consumers easily find and purchase featured products.”
