Future plc has appointed Elizabeth Deeming to the newly created role of SVP of Group.
Elizabeth joins from Hyve plc, a FTSE-listed organiser of global trade shows and B2B virtual events, and will be responsible for bringing together the company's B2B functions.
The role will involve creating a new centre of excellence for B2B content and a new operating model for lead generation. It will also include transformation and delivery following the recent completion of the acquisition of Dennis.
As Group Managing Director of Hyve plc, Elizabeth ran the largest division of the business, spanning sectors from EdTech to ecommerce to FoodTech as well as overseeing product development and digital strategy on behalf of the group.
She was previously Chief Operating Officer of Stylus Media Group and has also worked at News Corp and Deutsche Bank in the Technology, Media and Telecoms (TMT) practice.
She will join Future in November, working closely with Rick Stamberger, SVP B2B, who remains on the Executive Leadership Team.
Zillah Byng-Thorne, CEO of Future, said:
“I’m delighted to welcome Elizabeth to my team at a time when we are starting the work to realise the benefits of the Dennis acquisition.
“She brings a wealth of knowledge with her that will enable our plans around accelerating our strategy through a US-first mindset and diversifying our presence in the B2B Pro Tech vertical."
Future completed its acquisition of Dennis at the beginning of October. Over the last five years, it has acquired assets worth £1.4bn (including Dennis) and increased its underlying business by more than £2bn.
