Hearst Continues its Partnership with Cambridge School of Visual and Performing Arts (CSVPA)

Hearst UK continues its partnership with Cambridge School of Visual and Performing Arts (CSVPA) to announce a fully-funded “Access All Areas” Scholarship with Cosmopolitan. The initiative will offer the successful applicant a scholarship for any of the CSVPA arts, design and performing arts courses including Extended Diplomas, Foundation, BA (HONS) or Masters.

The “Access All Areas” Scholarship is open for anyone to apply, with applicants invited to #showusyourvision and either submit content on their preferred social media platform such as TikTok, YouTube or Instagram, or apply with a written statement and send their portfolio and idea by post or email. The scholarship is set to start September 2021.

Matt Hayes, Chief International Brand Officer, Hearst UK, says: “We are proud to build on our existing partnership with the CSVPA to launch a fully-funded “Access All Areas” Scholarship with Cosmopolitan. We believe that everyone, irrespective of background, deserves the chance to develop their skills and flourish within the creative industries. Through our channels, we aim to reach a diverse pool of talent in order to provide an educational experience to someone who may not otherwise have the opportunity.”

Chris Stacey, CEO, Bright Scholar UK Holdings, says: “As we come out of the pandemic, it is more important than ever to open up opportunities to young talent who feel they may come from low-income and under-represented groups in our society. By partnering with Cosmopolitan and Hearst UK we can access their vast network of diverse young talent and make a real difference.”

Karin Askham, Rector, CSVPA, says: “We are delighted to continue our important partnership with Hearst UK. Our equal opportunities policy reflects our belief in cultural diversity that embraces individuals and promotes community spirit. By creating a working, learning and social environment in which students can utilise their skills and talents to the full without fear of prejudice or harassment, we aim to create a culture where everyone can reach their fullest potential. We particularly encourage applications from those who feel they are from under-represented groups in the community.”

The CSVPA courses are specifically designed to give students the skills that the creative industries really need, underlining the school’s commitment to a high-quality learning experience geared to the demands of a fast-changing and leading industry.

The CSVPA Cosmopolitan “Access All Areas” Scholarship 2021 launches on 10 May 2021 and closes on 31th July 2021. The scholarship is worth up to £75,000 and will include tuition to study their chosen course (Extended Diploma, Foundation, BA Hons or MA) in September 2021, the CSVPA accommodation, all meals and a minimum of a two-week internship including travel expenses up to £700 starting in September 2021.
