Digital Spy has announced the launch of its very first digital magazine, which will be exclusively available to Apple News+ subscribers in the UK, US, Canada and Australia from today.

Custom designed by the Digital Spy and Apple News-teams, the new Digital Spy magazine will premiere features, videos, interviews and illustrations from the world of TV, film and entertainment.

The new publication will feature solely on Apple News+ offering consumers a premium and enhanced experience. Apple News+ is a subscription service available in the UK for £9.99 a month, and includes access to hundreds of the world’s top magazines and newspapers.

Matt Hill, Editor-in-Chief of Digital Spy and Group Digital Strategy Director at Hearst UK, said: “We are unbelievably proud to launch the very first Digital Spy magazine, having worked so closely with the Apple News team to create such a bespoke experience. The Apple News+ platform gives our readers – who we know are hungry for ever more high-quality entertainment content – a great ecosystem to consume a plethora of deeper investigations, exclusive features, videos and interactive extras. It’s an achievement that is testament to the hard work put in by our whole team of expert writers at Digital Spy.”

Mark McCafferty, Head of Partnerships at Hearst Solutions, added: “This is a major landmark for Digital Spy. In supporting the magazine launch, we’re also embarking on a media campaign to drive sign ups to the Apple News+ service, using creative advertising formats on Digital Spy and the digital edition. What’s more, the content is incredibly impressive and engaging for audiences – a credit to Editor-in-Chief Matt Hill, Editor Laurence Mozafari and the Digital Spy team.”
