Update on VAT Rates for e-newspapers and e-magazines now published in Official Journal
The latest update on the VAT rates on e-publications file or the Council Directive amending Directive 2006/112/EC, as regards rates of value added tax applied to books, newspapers and periodicals is that it has been published in the Official Journal of the European Union
Ellie Austin scored a job at Immediate Media as a Features Writer for Radio Times after graduating from the Magazine Journalism MA course at City University. Here she talks about working in the fast-paced world of a major weekly magazine and the power of a good coffee.
After being formally adopted by the ECOFIN Council on 6 November, the file still needed to be published on the Official Journal of the European Union before entering into force.
According to the legislative act, it shall enter into force on the twentieth day following that of its publication (14/11/18), this means 3 December of this year.
